Living Across Time —

“Living God’s way is difficult. You can’t really understand how to live a holy life, unless you read and meditate on the Word of God. And when you do, how do you apply it?

It starts with faith––trusting God’s Word is perfect and true, able to make you wise unto salvation. It means you will follow His Son, Jesus Christ, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; He alone changes how we believe and behave, act and react. As believers in Christ, we become members of His Body across all times and places because we are all baptized into one body and drink of one Spirit ( 1 CORINTHIANS 12:12-13). Paul the apostle hints at this many times in his first letter to the church in Corinth: “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” ( 1 CORINTHIANS 1:10). Paul speaks to all believers across time and space to help us understand that the Kingdom of God is not limited by the physical world. Through Paul, the LORD explains that everyone, in every time, who has called on Jesus Christ as their Lord is part of God’s Kingdom.

In a sense, Paul is teaching all believers how to act and, more importantly, react to all situations as one mind, by following Christ’s lead through
His Spirit. So, when we come together in our churches each week, let’s remember that we are actually joining an unbelievably huge congregation and choir across time and space, on earth and in heaven, learning and worshipping the LORD.
God is greater than anything or anyone we
could ever imagine. Praise His Holy Name!
