Hearing God —

We begin 2024 studying the Bible as we have never studied before. I welcome you to join us as we gather our senses to hear what God has said and what that means for each of our lives. To me, it has never been clearer that we need to listen to God carefully. The world is a mess! Evil has mocked us. We can see the hardcore reality of evil’s manifestation. The way the world has unfolded in our lifetime is unique, and like always, it requires God’s reality to make sense of it.

As we look around the world there are disturbances and wars emerging. We can sit in our homes and watch the scenes of good versus evil played out before us. In warfare and in culture.

We pray! We must pray! Remember the armor of God in Ephesians 6. God will give us the spiritual tools we need to fight righteously and stand in His truth: The belt of truth, the breastplate of rightness with God, the gospel of peace on our feet, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. But that is not the end, the last line is “praying always with all prayer and supplication” (Ephesians 6:14-18).

We must read the Bible and pray for God’s plan to be accomplished in our lives and in the world. This is a critical time of making the right decisions as we live every day in God’s way. This is not the time to fool around with other religions and gods, it is time to come to Jesus Christ and confess Him as LORD!
